A bit of history...

Charlie Lakes Area Camp Association was founded in 1985 on September 30th with the purpose of grading and repairing the access roads around the lakes and to those camps just south. The family names on the founding document are Babcock, Erickson, Perala, O'Dell, Jarvi, Ranta, and Luokkola.

From 2007 to 2009, CLACA had 45 members, with multiple donations from many of the camps.

Satellite imagery from 2019 to 1985 shows some roads moved, some trees fell, camps changed, but people still came around to enjoy the outdoors around the Charlie Lakes.
